"The direction I go with my art evolves as the piece progresses. I begin a piece and it leads me into new places on the canvas as well as in my soul resulting in a personal journey of many magnitudes.  I like to create art that implies, suggests, and evokes feelings rather than being an obvious "picture perfect" model of its subject matter.  The purpose of my art is to connect self and soul.  It is my outlet for expression and healing.  I have found that I am finished with a piece when I feel the artwork instead of criticizing it.  If others look at my artwork and FEEL something instead of just observing it, then I know that I have been successful in my direction as well as my purpose."  Art is all of our connection in some way whether it be to grace our walls, an appreciation of ones talent, a memory of times past, or an escape from our present....it heals our souls.
